Silvia Serrano Monesterolo

Born in Oviedo (Spain), she began studying the cello with Alexander Fedorchenko and continued her education at the Conservatorio Superior de Musica “Eduardo Martínez Torner” with Ignacio Alonso and Amada Andérez, where she graduated with honors.

In 2006 she finished her post-graduate studies of “Experto Universitario en Análisis e Interpretación Musical” at the University of Oviedo with Alexander Osokin, Yves Nicolas Cernea and Ramón Sobrino.

From 2006 to 2008 she attended the Conservatory of Maastricht (Netherlands), where she obtained a Bachelor Degree in Classical Music with a specialisation in chamber music with Professor Alexander Petrasch.

In September 2011 she completed her Master of Baroque Cello under the guidance of Gaetano Nasillo at the Accademia Internazionale della Musica in Milan (Italy).

During her studies at the academy she participated in orchestral projects, chamber music lessons and masterclasses with teachers such as Lorenzo Ghielmi, Mara Galassi, Stefano Montanari, Alfredo Bernardini, Antonio Frigè, Paolo Rizzi and Roberto Balconi.

She has followed masterclasses with Jeroen Den Herder, Michal Dmochowski, Salvador Escrig, Iagoba Fanlo, Marco Frezzato, Alexander Kniazev, Oleg Kogan, Mickhail Milman, Josetxu Obregón, Alexander Osokin, Amit Peled, Asier Polo, Jeroen Reuling, Barbara Switalska, George Gabriel Tanasescu and Teresa Valente Pereira.
